Position Description

Marketing Administration – Updating Facebook (3 x posts per week – promoting Cloud Farmer, industry related & 1 other), newsletter – sourcing & writing text incl using mailchimp to send to our database, updating text/blogs on website (sourcing & writing content etc), manage google adwords etc.  It is preferred that the successful person has a natural, friendly manner to their writing and understands farming thereby enabling them to write content that clients can relate to.  See website and facebook for example of style of writing preferred.

 

Client support & relationship management – The successful person will act as first point of contact for enquiries from existing clients.  The intention is that our new sales person will support her clients for the first 12 months of their subscription, so you will only be looking after older, more established clients.  Role will include delegating any enquiries from new clients to their account manager, and replying to any others that come in.  This is mainly done through an instant messaging system which allows you to reply promptly via your mobile phone – to either deal with the issue immediately or acknowledge it and deal with it in your own time depending on nature of the enquiry. 

Relationship management will be ensuring existing clients are being contacted regularly (3-6 months) and are happy and maximising their system (always easier to keep a client than get a new one!).  This process also allows you to gain content for newsletters & website testimonials.

 

Technical –  1st stage bug testing and escalating it to the technical team if required.  Also keeping the person/s who notified us in the loop with progress.  Usually means trying to ascertain if the problem is the user, their device or the system and if there is an obvious pattern which is causing it.  Some of our users are rather clever, whereas due to the simplicity of the software others have low to medium technical ability, so it can be a bit like when your mum (sorry Mum if you see this) rings up and says their computer is broken.  You need to be able to think laterally on what may be causing it!

  

Other info:

  • The role is initially intended to cover maternity leave (until approx. end Feb) but may be extended after this time.
  • Pay rate = est $20-30/hr depending on experience. 
  • We operate a BYOD policy (Bring Your Own Device), incl laptop & mobile phone
  • Good wifi & mobile reception a must
  • You are expected to be self managing and, with the exception of technical support, the role is not time critical, allowing flexibility.  However for relationship management we do find that lunchtime, evenings, and wet days seem to be the best time of day to contact clients. 
  • You are required to have a good knowledge of the farming sector, particularly sheep and beef farming, enabling you to relate to your clients, both in your written work and when speaking to them.
  • You will be expected to work from home
  • Role can be based from anywhere in New Zealand
